Redefining Inclusion in:

STEM, Healthcare, Education, and Work

We are a disability-led organization advancing accessibility and anti-ableism through research, strategy, training, and lived experience. At IDEA-STEM, inclusion isn’t an add-on — it’s the standard.

What does IDEA-STEM do?

We help organizations, educators, and research teams embed accessibility and anti-ableism into everything they do — creating equitable environments in STEM, healthcare, and education where innovation, belonging, and disability leadership thrive.

What We Offer

  • We help organizations develop and implement multi-year accessibility strategies, inclusive governance frameworks, and anti-ableism standards rooted in lived experience. Our work focuses on transforming systems — not just workplace culture — to ensure that accessibility is embedded into the foundation of education, research, healthcare, and employment settings.

  • We conduct 360° evaluations, barrier assessments, and applied research to inform inclusive policy, measure impact, and drive systemic change. Our mixed-methods approach integrates lived experience with evidence-based practice — supporting partners in identifying what’s working, what’s missing, and what’s possible.

  • We offer a growing suite of training opportunities — from foundational workshops to advanced masterclasses — designed to shift mindsets, build skills, and drive sustained inclusion in STEM, education, healthcare, and employment.

Our programs are grounded in disability justice and co-created with lived, living, and professional expertise. Whether virtual or in-person, each session prioritizes accessibility, interactivity, and relevance to your sector.

    Offerings include:

    • Interactive workshops

    • Webinar series

    • Masterclasses

    • Professional development tracks

    • Train-the-trainer models

  • We provide tailored support to leaders, teams, and organizations at every stage of their inclusion journey. From policy reviews and strategy sessions to 1:1 coaching and community consultation, we help you build internal capacity — not dependence.

Our approach is audience-centered and adaptive, ensuring the language, tools, and frameworks we use resonate in your context and stick beyond the session.

    Offerings include:

    • Strategic planning for accessibility

    • Team and leadership coaching

    • Policy review and development

  • Unlike traditional HR or DEI approaches, we don’t treat accessibility as a cultural add-on — we embed it into the very systems that shape education, research, healthcare, and employment. Our team brings a rare combination of lived, living, and professional experience, rooted in disability justice and sector-specific expertise.

We meet organizations where they are — using audience-centered language, frameworks, and engagement strategies that resonate. Our adaptive, sector-specific model allows us to foster more meaningful, sustainable change than one-size-fits-all offerings.
